How Camber earns
Last updated
The calculator, the comparison and the guides are free. This page lists every way Camber earns money, so you can judge what you read with that in view.
Payment never changes a calculation. No partner, advertiser or buyer of a report can alter a rate, a total or the order of the lines.
The paid import report
You can buy a report on one import for €9.99. It is a one-off purchase. It is never renewed automatically, and buying one does not start a subscription.
Partner referrals and sponsored placements
Some businesses pay to appear in the services directory or beside a guide, or pay when a reader is referred to them. These are the rules Camber keeps to:
- Every paid link is labelled Sponsored and marked
rel="sponsored", which tells search engines it was paid for. - A partner's placement stays hidden until a written agreement exists.
- The free official route is always shown beside a partner, at the same size.
- No partner is described as required, or as endorsed by Revenue.
Featured listings for import dealers
Dealers who sell cars that are already imported and registered can pay for a featured listing. A featured listing is labelled like any other paid placement.
Affiliate links
Some links to other sites are affiliate links. If you buy through one, Camber may be paid a commission. Affiliate links are labelled and marked rel="sponsored" in the same way.
Display advertising
Camber does not carry display advertising today. It may be added later. If it is, this page will say so.
Questions
If a paid link is not labelled, that is a mistake. Email hello@camber.ie and say where you saw it.
